New Delhi: Popular Front of India announces scholarship program 2017. This scholarship scheme intentionally support poor and meritorious students those who wish to pursue higher studies after completing Higher Secondary (12th). Applications are invited from students who are pursuing their course in the academic year 2017-18. It’s is the 7th consecutive year Popular front is implementing this national scholarship scheme for higher education.
The statement issued by Popular Front of India Central Secretariat meeting has welcomed the SC order which stayed the new restrictions on cattle trade imposed by the central government and the decision to apply nationwide, the Madras High Court's recent stay on the cattle sale ban. The order definitely comes as a relief to millions of poor people whose livelihood depends on cattle and beef trade. The apex court verdict is warning to those who are instigating communal riots and mob lynching in the name of cow protection.
The National Leaders Meet convened by Popular Front of India today at Malabar House, Malappuram in Kerala called upon the people to resist growing incidents of mob lynching and other atrocities against weaker sections by making best use of all democratic and legal means. The Meet reminded Muslims and Dalits who are the prime victims of communal and casteist onslaughts and the secular civil society at large that building broad alliances at different levels by burying all petty prejudices among them is the timely responsibility bestowed upon them.
The Central Secretariat meeting of Popular Front of India, in a statement, warned the people at large about the divisive campaign of the Sangh Parivar under the influence of its anti-Muslim, anti-Dalit philosophy. Though RSS and BJP may need such a situation to achieve their ultimate political goals, the growing atmosphere of Hindutva violence targeting Muslims and Dalits who constitute a major segment of the population would make India an insecure country for all groups, castes and communities.
