Banglore: Popular Front of India, Komu Sauharda Vedike and other dalith and farmers organizations decided to conduct a mass demonstration, protesting Karnataka Government’s Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill 2010, in Shivajinagar, Banglore on 28th June.

Literateurs and heads of the pro people organisations opined that if the bill, which is anti democratic, anti farmer and anti agriculture, implicated, law and order in the state will be broken.

Bangalore:Popular Front of India welcomes the NRI voting bill passed in the Parliament and the decision of the Central Government to include caste of the citizens in Census 2011.

The bill provides Indian citizens who stay abroad, entitlements to have their names registered in electoral rolls. Though this bill does not give the NRIs opportunity to vote while they are abroad, we hope that the statement by the Law Minister Shri. Veerappa Moily that the government would consider internet voting is fulfilled in the near future.

Mangalore: "The hand chopping off incident of Professor Joseph, who was alleged for blasphemous writing about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), was a common political issue. Such incidents are often held in Kerala as the state is well known for political violence" said Father William Martis, Udupi district president of NCHRO, who was expressing his views in an Activist Get Together and Ifthar Program, conducted by Popular Front of India, Dakshin Kannada district, at Jammiatul Falah Community Development Hall, on Tuesday.
