Popular Front of India chairman E Abubacker in a statement has denounced the government attempts to suppress new Dalit social movements like Bhim Army by demonizing and arresting their leaders on false charges. E Abubacker expressed his support to all struggles of Dalit movements and activists who are striving against casteist atrocities and for fundamental right of a secure and dignified human life that has been systemically denied to them for centuries. Popular Front of India activists and villagers took out a huge protest against police inaction on the Murder of Saman Ali( 45), a farmer in Koimari village in Baksa district of Assam.
He was found dead in the field he had taken on lease from BhagwanMedhi, who lives in the neighboring village. It is learnt that Saman Ali, who had gone to the field on June 1st as usual, was found dead there at about 2:00.

E Abubacker has said that the way people’s democratic protest was dealt with is inhuman and a shame on a democratic society.
A statement issued by the National Secretariat meeting of Popular Front of India has demanded complete and immediate withdrawal of the restrictions on cattle trade imposed by the central government. It is an outright anti-people and anti-democratic step which will unilaterally destroy the livelihood of millions of poor people but also further stunt national economy which is already affected by disastrous demonetization. The explanation that there is no ban on cattle trade is just a ploy of to appease people of some Northeastern and Southern states which are reluctant to execute beef ban.

The statement issued by Popular Front of India Headquarters after the meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) welcomed the verdict of the Bombay High Court upholding life imprisonment of eleven persons convicted for gang-raping of pregnant Bilkis Bano and massacring her 14 family members in the 2002 Gujarat Genocide. It is further positive that the High Court has convicted the polices officers whom the trial court had acquitted. The meeting observed that the gravity of the incident warranted more stringent punishment to all those involved in the heinous crime.
