Popular Front chairman meets Afrajul’s family in West Bengal

Popular Front of India chairman E. Abubacker along with West Bengal state president Md Shahabuddin, zonal secretary Arif Khan and other leaders visited the family of Md Afrajul Khan on 21 Dec. 2017. Md Afrajul Khan was brutally killed by a Hindu fanatic Shumbhu Lal Regar of Rajasthan On 6th Dec. 2017 on the false pretext of alleged love Jihad. Afrajul (50) was a resident of Syedpur Village under Jalalpur Police station in Malda district, West Bengal. The shocking news got space as headlines of Media. Coming to know the incident a team consisting of 7 persons led by Popular Front of India West Bengal Dr. Md Minarul Shaikh had earlier visited his family on 8th Dec. 2017.
The residents of the village called a get together with the family and local people on the occasion of chairman’s visit. E. Abubacker shared the grief with the family and prayed together for them and the deceased victim. The chairman has promised an amount of Rs. 100000/- as support to the family and also assured them that Popular Front of India will stand with the family till they get justice. The visiting team demanded punishment of the culprit and compensation for the family. More than 300 people who attended the get-together meeting were eagerly listening to the chairman.
When the brutal killing happened in a Rajasthan village, Rajasthan state leaders of Popular Front had reached the spot and helped the family for bringing the body of the deceased from there to Malda. The visit of chairman and his team has instilled hope among the villagers that justice will ultimately prevail.
