Mangalore: Protest against Anti Cow Slaughter Bill held
Mangalore July 14: Various organizations and associations came together to protest against the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill, 2010 in front of DC’s Office on Wednesday, July 14.
The law which gives license to even search houses and other premises to check cow slaughter, has resulted in giving extra power to anti social elements said C N Shetty, Thinker.
In the land of multi culture, the Yeddyurappa government is trying to impose a uniform culture alleged Ali Hasan, President, Meat seller’s Association. The government has failed in curbing illegal mining and it is shameful that it continues to insist on having the anti cow slaughter law, he added.
Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti, Ahinda, PUCL, Catholic Sabha, Popular Front of India, Karnataka Komu sauharda Vedike, Karnataka Mission network, National women’s Front, Protestant Christian Welfare Association, All India Imam’s Council, Jamat- E- Islam hind, Congress(I), CPI, CPI( M), JD(S), SDPI, Bandavya, New Age India Forum, Karnatak Christian associations union, Social Reformation Forum, Mangalore Central Committee, Youth Wing were the associations presnt in the protest.
