Jailer Ishwar Naik has been allowing the bajrang dal goons to provide all kinds illegal things to Mahendra Kumar in the jail. Liquor and women were also supplied to him in the late night always. Few days back Mahendra Kumar has arranged a Kabaddi tournament in the jail with the help of the corrupt and communal jailer Ishwar Naik. Â
The assault on Fakir Bava and Rafeeque by the Saffron goons yesterday was severe one. They were injured very badly on their head, shoulder, chest, abdomen, hand etc, and admitted to the hospital. The District administration has not responded to the earlier assaults by these bajrang dal elements which made the public anger.Â
Hence the citizens of Mangalore and surrounding area, under the leadership of KARNATAKA FORUM FOR DIGNITY have gathered in front of the jail demanding justice and asked the district administration to dismiss the corrupt and communal jailer Ishwar Naik from service.
Karnataka Forum For Dignity (KFD) also arranged a massive protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office at Mangalore wherein thousands of people have gathered and shouted the slogans against Sangh parivar and demanded to dismiss Ishwar Naik immediately. Well known thinker G. Rajshekhar, Jayan Malpe, Hajee Hameed Kandak, Anwar Sadath, Abdul Razak Kemmara, PB Desa and other prominent social activists had delivered speeches at the gathering.
Addressing the demonstrators, G Rajashekar said that, there is no security to common people in Dakshina Kannada district. Some police officials have forgotten their genuine duties, and are behaving like criminals. People have lost trust with the authority, he opined.
"Some of the officials have joined hands with fascist agents and they are busy adding fuel to the hatred fury. If officials have been involved in such activities, to whom people should complain against injustice?," he questioned. He added that he can become a terrorist only owing to the injustice meted out by the authority or when authorities concerned stand as silent spectators instead of taking actions against atrocities.Â
Blaming home minister Dr VS Acharya for perpetual attacks carried against minorities in the state, Rajashekar said, "Our home minister has no brains. His responses to such heinous crime has been lukewarm and he is acting like robot man'.Â
A petition and memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner Mangalore urging to dismiss the jailer immediately and book criminal cases against the jailer and all culprits of yesterdays and earlier assaulting incidents.
