The management of Dinamalar Daily in Tamil represented by R.Venkatapathy, R.Ragavan and Sathyamurthy were seeking Anticipatory Bail in Madras High court for publishing Prophets Cartoon in their Computer Malar which is the Supplementary of Dinamalar Daily. Their Advocates argued that this is for the first time they have published the prophet's cartoon and they have no intention to hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims. He further added that , that they have also published a regret notice in the front page of their Dinamalar Daily throughout the state. He also prayed to grant Anticipatory Bail for the accused.

Manitha Neethi Pasarai (MNP) had appeared and intervened in this matter at once through their advocate Mr.Sankarasubbu. MNP Advocate argued that the Dinamalar administrators often published these type of biased news which was criminalising the entire Muslim society as terrorists and also hurting religious sentiments. this is not the first time as narrated by the learned counsel of Dinamalar. They are habitual offendors working with antiminority sentiments as well as anti-Muslim sentiments. MNP had also filed three criminal cases against Dinamalar for false and hate propaganda against Muslims. A criminal case was filed in Judicial Magistrate court No.5 in Madurai by Mohamed Nasrudeen, district secretary of MNP for publishing prophet's cartoon on 5-10-2001 in Siruvar Malar which is the supplementary of Dinamalar and the second one was filed in JMC 1, Madurai and the third one was filed in JM Periakulam by MNP. He further added to permit him to intervene in this matter and dismiss their bail petition.

After hearing both side arguments the Hon'ble Justice Ragupathy allowed MNP to intervene and ordered to produce all the documents against Dinamalar. And adjourned the case on 10-9-2008. MNP sources said that they are vowed to fight the case till the end.Â
