New Office Bearers for National Women’s Front

Manjeri: National General Council of National Women’s Front met at Green Valley Foundation here elected new office bearers for the organization.

A.S Zainaba, Kerala (President), Shahida Thasneem, Karnataka (General Secretary), S Benazir, Tamilnadu (Treasurer).

Gulna Shareef, Bangalore (Vice President), Maimoona Ashraf, Kerala, Famida, Tamilnadu (Secretaries).

Kavitha Nizar, K.K Raihanath, Dr. Fathima, K.K Zulaikha (Kerala), Shahida Aslam, Asma Mansoor, Naseema Fathima (Karnataka), Ayisha Siddeeq, Shifa (Tamilnadu) are committee members.

Dr. Mahboob Shareef, member, advisory board, controlled the election.

The general council passed following resolutions:

1) Adopt Mishra Commission recommendations on Muslim reservation.

2) Allow special quota for backward classes and minority communities in proposed Women Reservation Bill

3) Take steps to check child death in Madhya Pradesh due to starvation.

4) Prosecute Narendra Modi in Gujarath genocide case

5) Stop inaction from the part of governments in compensating and rehabilitating the victims of Bhopal gas tragedy.
